from the first,I returned from hospital I was not paralyzed, my muscles were relatively ok. I underlined the word 'relatively'.
My balance was the main problem. I could not stand and walk because of
the balance problem. My wife bought wheel chair and walker for me. I used the wheel chair in my first month of my stroke and it was used for more than one month, especially if we needed to be quick or rush and so on.
A friend of mine gave me a tip, "if your muscles are no problem, push that wheel chair... you are not supposed to be pushed on that wheel chair!". 2 or 3 hours later,
I pushed my wheel chair. Since then I pushed wheel chair rather than to be pushed on that wheel chair unless we needed to be quick or rush.
My wheel chair was heavy and not easy to bring anywhere. My wife gave me a walker, which was much lighter than a wheel chair. It was not convenient for me, but much better than a wheel chair.
